This deck was undefeated in Arena Last week. It always was good to me, but after a few tweaks, it was even better. I was running 4 Grim Lavamancer, and 24 Land, but I can usually get away with 23 Land, and the early Lavamancer wasn't really much of an advantage. I tried swapping the land and Lavamancer for 2 more Llanowars, but finally decided to go with 2 Giant Growth. As a late game suprise, they are killers. And in the mirror match, or against UG, you can attack with your mongrel and kill the blocking mongrel. I was seeing a lot of Sanctimony so I kept the Mountains to a minimum. Sometimes I have to wait 3 or 4 turns if I don't draw one in my opening hand. I would suggest running 4 Birds to help make up for it. The Wing Snares have won several matches where I lost game 1 to a flier with Protection from RED. I have been seeing many decks with 4 Akromas and 4 Exalteds. | ||
