Fifth Dawn Preconstructed Decks

I was looking at the new 5th Dawn decks. Stampede (Red-Green) looks like it might be good. But, they put some stupid cards in it, like goblin cannon - you pay 4, then 2 more to activate it. Then it only does one point of damage before you have to sacrifice it. Am I missing something? Or is this card just as useless as I think it is? (I was missing something.
Thanks  to Craig for pointing this out, "If you take a combo that produces a bunch of mana you can funnel it through gobblin cannon and do serious damage. For every 2 mana you do a point. it only works once, but if you can generate the mana it only has to work once. Nice site BTW. - Craig Kade" Okay, now I get it. It's kind of like the old Rocket Launcher, only better.)

The deck will need a lot more burn before it gets to be as good as the red deck from Darksteel, Master Blaster. I might try this one.

But I think I will try Sunburst first. This one gives bonuses based on the different colors used to pay for the spells. There was an Invasion deck called Spectrum that was multicolored like this. It was fun to play, but not very consistent. It was a fun casual deck. It could only have a chance of winning if you stayed in the beginners room on MTGO. But that's true for most (or all) of the starters.

The other two new decks are Special Forces and Nuts and Bolts. Special Forces doesn't bring much new stuff to the table, and the best card in Nuts and Bolts is banned. So that'll just be another weenie deck that runs out of gas on turn 5.

It seems like the precons from Darksteel were better than the new Fifth Dawn offerings. But I won't be certain of this until I get some play time in with Sunburst. I expected Fifth Dawn's decks to be more fun than Darksteel's, like it was in Onslaught block, where the Scourge decks were more fun than the decks released for Legions. Goblin Mob was a blast.
